The hottest property in Guanacaste, Costa Rica

Huacas and surrounding beach area real estate is the most sought-after property in the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica. Guanacaste is the most popular area of Costa Rica for tourists and foreign residents, and nearby the town of Tamarindo is the vibrant, thriving heart of Guanacaste’s tourist and expatriate community. The high demand for Tamarindo real estate in particular, is due to several major factors:

Excellent direct travel connections to North America. The new international airport in Liberia is only a 40 to 70-minute drive from all parts of the greater Tamarindo area. Currently, over forty non-stop flights arrive at the Liberia airport each week, including flights from Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, Newark, Minneapolis, Oakland, Los Angeles, Miami, and Toronto.

Excellent travel connections within Costa Rica. The Liberia Airport has numerous scheduled daily flights to and from the international airport in San Jose – one of the few beach communities in all of Costa Rica with such connections.

Spectacular, uncrowded beaches. The beaches in the greater Tamarindo area are safe for swimming and have world-renowned waves for surfing. The Tamarindo area has the longest uninterrupted stretch of white sand beach in Costa Rica.

Availability of goods and services. The greater Tamarindo area has more shops, restaurants, goods and services than any other area in Costa Rica except the capital of San Jose.

Anticipated influx of more upscale visitors and buyers. A much-anticipated major luxury marina will be going in at Flamingo Beach, in the northern section of the greater Huacas area, within the next two years. In addition, 10 five-star hotels have announced that they plan to build resorts in the greater Huacas area. JW Marriott and Hyatt have recently purchased prime beachfront locations and will begin construction soon.
